Agri Business
The fishing group has an Allied or Agri-Business Division that oversees the operation of prawn farms, hatchery, aqua culture, cattle ranch, ice plants and orchard farms.
RD Prawn and Hatchery is the source of richly-cultivated prawns for export, primarily to the Japanese market.
There are four pond sites occupying a total of 90 hectares, with each site producing 50 to 75 tons of prawns per culture.
Also being cultured is Cobia or Sergeant fish, much sought after in Japan and the United States. The breeders are kept in inland ponds… and the fingerlings are transferred to fish cages in the sea where they are raised under optimum conditions.
An average of 20 tons of cobia fish are harvested monthly..
RD Cattle Ranch, For the past 15 years, the RD Cattle Ranch has been raising high-grade American Brahman cattle in a 500-hectare property in Tambler. The ranch provides the local market with top quality beef. The facility also raises goats and sheep.
Its durian farm in Polomolok, South Cotabato yields 18 tons yearly of some of the finest varieties of the exotic durian fruit.
The mango farm in Conel, General Santos City spreads out over a 20-hectare property yielding 40 tons of mangoes every year
